Default AC Wall Outlets

It seems like everyone is making AC outlets now. Furutech, Synergistic Research, Shunyata Research, and Audioquest just to name a few. Has anyone compared any of them? Any suggestions on what to look for?

I have all Shunyata power cables so I was thinking of going with the SR-Z1 outlets. But there are so many other choices.

Firm grip for these esoteric cords we use. Formerly I used Home Depot hospital grade with dedicated lines. Big difference but I don’t know how much the plugs contributed, now use porter ports. Foot never stops tapping.

I've got Furutech outlets on my two dedicated 20AMP lines.

Plugged into them is a Panamax power center on each circuit.

Highly recommended is the Furutech GTX D NCF with GTX wall plate and 105D cover.

Icing on the cake IMO is a quality power cable with Furutech [emoji366]

All of the outlets you mentioned are very good. IMO the best outlet is the one that grips your power cable the best. Since you have Shunayata PC’s, I’d go with their outlet.

Thanks eveyone. I never thought about the wall cover plate making a difference.

I talked with Shunyata and they said that besises the SR-Z1, they will also have a new model coming out soon. So that might be the way to go. The the Furutech look interesting also.

I've got the SR-Z1 outlet. It's a decade old and still grips my heavy power cable extremely well

I have no idea. But Furutech for one has a special wall plate as well as a mounting plate. I have also seen special carbon fiber wall plates.

A friend of mine has a theory that things can sound better or go faster just because they look cool. Perception is reality.
