For any critical listening the two wicker chairs and the coffee table have to go; reflections off the glass in front of you won't help the soundstage any.

I agree. I just fold the chairs out to the sides, put some cushions on the glass table and crank up the volume . But the single most rewarding adjustment was speaker placement.

I take the spikes off during the process, then the furniture pads work great.
