I’m sorry to post this ...... man when it rains ..... I tried to reach out to Bob couple weeks ago as COVID-19 was first showing up in Seattle area. No response. Tonight, I googled, afraid of what I might find as I knew he had been dealing with complications related to hypersensitivity pneumonitis since early 2018, if I recall correctly. We exchanged texts end of last July when I took a trip to Vancouver. I really enjoyed talking to Bob, he was so witty and articulate. His inventory of Mcintosh gear was stunning. I sold him gear, I bought gear from him, his C1100 and MT10 are still in my system. This forum links so many of us together, it really is powerful sharing our passion for audio and music. Just like when I heard about Dan’s passing, I instantly felt shocked, empty and sad, I had lost a friend even though i never met him. Linked is his obit, which his wife did a great job of writing, he passed August 10th 2019. RIP my friend.

Get Well Soon Bob aka Moonshot!
Truly sad news. I never met Bob in person but we had some great phone conversations over the years. He was so wonderful to talk to - you felt like you had known him forever after a short conversation. We talked a lot about our kids and their personal struggles, and how to be good parents. We talked about the music we loved so much.
We traded some things - I sold him an MC 601 and I bought his mint pair of MC 2301’s. He was a stickler for detail - getting new plastic bags for the amps from McIntosh before he shipped them to me. RIP Bob, a kindand wonderful soul. Tom
