Default MoFi Record Sleeve Alternatives?

I’ve been using MoFi anti static record sleeves, but I have a number of records where they are a tight fit. I could push hard enough to get the records in and out, but that doesn’t seem wise (plus it is annoying to remove a record from a tight fitting sleeve.

Anybody else run into this problem? Do you know of an alternative that is slightly larger than the MoFi? I bet a 1/16” would do it.

Try Klaudio or Diskeeper Ultimate Audiophile sleeves. You’ll never look back!

I like the Diskeeper Ultimate. Much better behaved than the MoFi.

Plain simple el cheapo U shaped poly inners where you have the inner cardboard lyric sheet.

Covers 33 polylined paper sleeves with the corners cut - same as what Speakers Corner use.
https://www.covers33.co.uk/product-c...inyl/12-paper/

with these two different types of inner sleeves, you will never use the audophool mofi sleeves ever again.

That's a bit strange, I put each and every record I buy in a MOFI sleeve and have never come close to any being too small. I wonder if you didn't just get a bad batch or few?

I have wondered the same thing. I’ve really noticed it with my oldies. I’d say half of my older LPs are so tight I have to force them in to the point I expect the sleeve to rip along the edge. The difference between a perfect fit and too tight is very small, of course. So, a batch where they missed the tolerance is a “not unlikely” scenario.
I checked and the Disckeeper Ultimate are wider, if dimensions are correct. I will give those a try.

These look good. Do you have any trouble getting them shipped to the US, or is there a US retailer for them?

Forgive me for butting in, but Turntable is in Australia I believe. Covers33 products I can recommend too, and they ship worldwide.

As John mentioned, I am from Sydney.

my suggestion is to buy in bulk with a couple of audio buddies, then give Covers 33 a call. They will look around and get you a better postage rate than on the web site.

They are easily the best inner sleeves you can buy - when you don't have a cardboard lyric sheet. Cut on each corner for easy insertion and withdrawal - unlike the mofi ones which can stick going in and out.

cheers

This is an interesting discussion. I've never had an issue with the MoFi sleeves - I use gravity to let the LP slip in or out of them. But I'm curious about the alternatives - does Ivan carry the Klaudio sleeves????
