Hi Jamie, I don't believe there is the option for the subapp PC for the DB1D. They have gone for the phone app only for calibration and control on the sub. There are no controls buttons on the sub itself either only an on/off button which lights up.

Yes I wasn’t sure whether it was the same as my model - I had a quick look at the new manual and it does seem a similar interface via bluetooth to the pc app. I’m assuming you’ve set to match your speakers and double checked all the settings in particular the cable connection type?

Thank you. The newer ones with the 'D' designation have a phone or pad app to use to adjust the settings.

Ok, update. Have speaker choice set to 805D3, gain set to 7dB and have also customized the equalization instead of using Music as choice. My room is 13 x 15 x 12 and still feel sub volume is lacking. If I choose Other Speaker, set xover filter to 60Hz and 12dB slope it gets better.

Ok I’ve had a play with my settings to compare. I’ve been using my connection as LFE mostly. When I switch to stereo and select me speakers 803d3 the sub volume goes down greatly. Even when I set input to +10db it still isn’t as loud. Switch back to LFE and the boom is back. Not sure exactly why.
My preamp is the Yamaha 5100 so I can set the sub crossover setting on that instead. So I still get some crossover control on LFE connection. Not sure if possible on your amp. But try with the input to LFE to see if that affects the volume. |

LFE is used mainly for movie viewing, hence the Low Frequency Extension. Since you have a xover on your preamp you should be able to use the LFE but only use the right input RCA on the sub, not the left. This is what the B& W rep mentioned to me on his visit. For music the Stereo setting should bu used and theoretically when choosing the 805D3 the xover cutoff should match the roll off at 45 Hz. Anyway, after playing with the custom settings On Input Eq.

Nothing mechanically wrong with the MA8900 - have switched outputs around and both are the same. Madfonzy confirmed when his settings are the same as mine (using Stereo vs LFE) his volume is lower, too. I will reach out to B&W again.
