If you want to read a comparison between Anniversary and the Ref 10, check this review from 2015.
I wonder if he did the comparison of both side by side or if he was relying on his audio memory (which can be fleeting).

Also this sentence "Inside, the Reference 10 reflects the discovery of new passive parts, including new coupling capacitors, replacing the absolutely immense Teflon ones used in the Reference Anniversary"
This is obviously bullshit spun by the ARC marketing team as the Gold coloured, red end capped TRT stealth caps have been used by ARC since the LS26 - almost 10 years before the Ref10 was released! They probably did the change to the Stealth caps in the Ref10 because of the many failures of their Teflon caps made by another company (I vaguely remember it was ASC or similar 3 letter abbrevation)

The only difference I could see were the coupling caps. In the 40th Anniversary, it was proprietary White Teflon caps (apparently prone to failure but any units in circulation would have failed by now and been changed) and in the Ref10, ARC uses the TRT Gold Stealth caps which are not Teflon but a hybrid cap of sorts -the material used is a TRT trade secret. The difference in sound would be marginal if any and would be due to the different coupling caps used. 40th Anniversary internals on the left, Ref10 on the right.

Thank you Triode 12 for pointing out the similarities between the two excellent preamp's . By the way it say's that your Australia , is it true that the REF 40 , REF 10 line & Phono stage , the REF 610T and the REF 750 & 750SE were never sold in Australia even if its in the dealer catalog because of the power/ voltage issue ? I was informed by one member of the Australian audio forum called stereonet.au. He said that he inquired from his dealer and he said these units are not marketed in Australia because ARC have no power transformers for the above units available for your country's power requirements .

No - that is rubbish - they are and were all available in the country- the AU voltage is 230V and ARC makes the same equipment for the EU countries with the same voltages. He must have spoken to the wrong dealer.
