C1100 losing its configuration
Unfortunately, after the ”loud popping when powering on” bug, I have a new problem with my C1100, when I unplug it from the wall, plug it back and switch it on again, the entire configuration is lost, I have to reconfigure it completely after startup. When it is in standby mode, if I switch it on again, everything is fine.
In fact, this already happened with a former C1100, which my dealer changed when I told him I had this problem (he’s been great on this). I installed the new one end of June, it worked fine until this week-end, where I unplugged it for two days. When I turned it on, no configuration… And now, it happens everytime The strange thing is that I went on holiday in July for three weeks, the C1100 was unplugged all the time and didn’t lose anything when I turned it on again. It really looks like some king of battery issue which, after a few months, 3 for me, is not able to maintain the configuration when unplugged Could any of you do the test to unplug its C1100, plug it back, turn it on again and report if you have the same issue? I just want to know if I am very unlucky, then I will call again my dealer, or if it is another conception bug. Many thanks Olivier --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am happy to report that the problem is solved with firmware 2.02 Good work Mc

I bought one of the earliest C1100's and I've had mine unplugged several times for a week or more and have not had this problem.
Sorry to hear of your problems with the C1100. Luckily, mine has performed flawlessly since new.

I'm just unplugged my C1100 for 20 minutes -- plugged it back in and no issue. Hope you get this sorted out quickly.
I have unplugged it overnight recently during severe storms and no issues then either. Best Sir, Bob

My C1100 is unplugged for a week or two at a time, and never had that problem.

Thank you so much for your help
So, I guess that I am very unlucky with the C1100, I'll contact my dealer (again)

I went back to my dealer. As we agreed that it is rather strange that two units broke exactly the same way after three months each time, we are wondering if the issue couldn't come from the fact that my C1100 is part of a HC system and is switched on every day with a Passthru cable
This is the only thing that I do differently from all its other customers who bought a C1100. So, I have another question for you: are you using your C1100 the same way that I do, i.e. in a HC system and turned on via Passthru or are you just using it in Hifi?

My C2500 did similar, then I learned the firmware was not updated, performed that simple process and no problems since. Maybe that may help?

My C1100 is part of a Home Theater system and set up to run pass through when watching tv, movies, etc.
Just for informational use, I have a MX122 which triggers the C1100 and MC 1.2kw's, with a MC205 powering the center and surround channels. I have unplugged the system completely a few times while out of town for trips during the monsoon season and have not experienced any loss of configuration or any other problems, when powering back on.

Mine is configured in a multichannel system, in pass through to a MX 150 as well. I use a trigger from MX150 to C1100, but not to amps. I prefer to manually turn on amps after pre's have clicked from warm-up mode.

Mine is a 2 channel set up but is plugged into a Shunyata power distributor that I unplug from the wall after every use. No issues to date and I have not upgraded to the latest firmware.
