Default Line Magnetic LM805IA

I recently purchased a LM805ia and am quite impressed with the sound quality. I am wondering what speakers other LM805ia owners are using. This amp is pretty powerful for a SET amp however my current speakers are very inefficient. I am looking to replace them soon with more efficient ones that are a good match. Thank you in advance..

I heard this amp with a very efficient French open baffle speaker in Munich (don’t recall the brand) and it was fabulous - best of show for me.

And now it's used with my old beloved BW 802N, either solo, either with OPPO HA1 as preamp, sources being PROJECT RPM10CARBON, Squeezebox, Roon.

This amp is a winner to my ears, and a keeper.

No need to drive high efficiency speakers, 2X24Watts of pure happiness, banana on the face every time I listen to it.

Indeed this amp is really really good! It draws you into the music and brings out the emotion. The instruments and vocals are so natural and real. The LM805ia achieves this with my inefficient 84db speakers. Can't imagine what it can do with efficient ones..

A guy on one of the other forums went through a several month audition of a lot of speakers for the same amp and settled on the Spendor D-9's. Monitor Audio Platinum's, Verity or Nola might also be something to look into.
