The Rooms to GO, of Hifi.

It sounds, tests, reviews fine, until someone asks "How much?"

Are you saying that the price turns them off? Like it should be more or less?

As someone who use to own 9 of their monoblocks, SSP, Preamp, etc. I would agree. It's truly a case of you get what you pay for. I wouldn't buy their equipment again (once you've tasted honey, it's hard to go back to vinegar), BUT - if someone was on a tight budget or starting out, they would be in the mix of recommendations. Their staff and service is excellent. The products are good....for the money.

As a side, their latest SSP, has become a bit of a running joke in the industry. I think it was "announced" over 2 years ago and it's still not ready. That being said, maybe our friends at Mc (MCD1100) could heed a little caution before releasing a product......just saying. No company is always perfect....not even mega bucks Apple!

I've found their gear to be of high value- you're getting a lot of product for what you're paying.
Nice service as well!

Anyone have any thoughts on their new XMC-1? It looks very feature laden but at such a low price, it makes you really wonder if the quality is there. It's not out yet, but I know someone who's waiting to order one, wondering if anyone has opinions or is using the current UMC?

-- No opinion, the onion is not out yet, if ever ....

Plus, it will be without TacT; the Room EQ system. Bad!

Plus, its little brother, its predecessor, the UMC-1 was a big pain in the a$$!

No, thank you very much but no, thank you.

And, before we can speculate, before we can say this or that, right now there is only vapor in the air;
seems like that's what's mostly selling over there.
