If there is one of the 3 that will have a more distinctive sound at normal sound levels its the 803 which only shares the tweeter. The difference in midrange tonality should be perceivable at any volume given that its the range which is most sensitive to human hearing. Personally, to my ear, the 803d3 sounds significantly better than the previous 802d everywhere in the spectrum regardless of sound level due mostly to the improved midrange. It sounds noticeably more musical, less analytical and has better soundstage.

Saga conclusion: 800D3 vs 802D3
In all seriousness, get a small nerf gun and use it when he’s getting ready to jump. It’s harmless but will get his attention. Also get covers for the speakers when you’re not listening.

Or you could spray some cat repellent on the floor around your speakers.

Get the Symphonic Line amps: Either Kraft 300, or the RG-4 monoblocks... They are pretty much known to be the best match for the sometimes "hot" diamond tweeter of the D3 series, yet manage to preserve all the detail and its airiness ..... Michi and the Macintosh are very mediocre amps for the 800D3, unless of course you LOVE the blue meters on the Macs and LED on the Michi, which lot of folks do actually ....

I think a vast majority of audiophiles would not associate mediocrity with Macs, especially their amps. Perhaps more a question around system synergy. In my opinion, Macs pair extremely well with B&Ws as shared by many members on AA.
