Default California Audio Show (CAS8) July 27-29, 2018

Any AA members attending or participating at the CA Audio Show by chance?

Anything special you are going to go check out and listen to?

Tube, solid state, speakers... ?

Decent list of companies participating this year:

Default report on the show...

Enjoyed the show. Not a huge list of vendors but nice variety of different speakers, amps, and other components at varying price points. A buddy picked up a Margules tube preamplifier and amplifier while we were there. Each room had it's own unique sound. Enjoyed it enough to go again next year.

I had great time at the show. On the small side, but great for listening and talking with the the manufacturers. The Triangle Art, and the Wilson Benesch, were just two of the rooms that really stood out.

Aside from all the bling turntable stuff, the sound from the Triangle Art room was probably my #1 pick too. Those mono block tube amps sounded really nice.

Interesting how that bottom driver is set up hanging downward on the Wilson Benesch speakers.

I remember looking at that sign. Wow, for $250,000 worth of gear, I guess the Triangle Art Room probably should've sounded really good. Now have I heard $30k-50k systems that sounded just as good, probably not, but some that were close enough though.
