I'm planning to do just that, but while I can do a decent job with wood and metal, my electronics skills are close to zero. I'm 3/4 through Amdahl's There Are No Electrons, and the goal is to eventually be acceptable enough to fumble through a rebuild of the N800-F crossover with Duelund DCA16GA and 20GA cables on a small flat board, and then mount them to the outside of the cabinet backs.

Actually, I went cruising through the Codex for examples, but all the images are broken. Whomp whomps...

Totally planning on that as soon as I learn a bit more about electronics. Manipulating electrons is still a dark art to me. (I wrote a longer response, but it isn't showing for some reason.)

Yah I know.... sucks!:/

I'll repost the schematic and a couple pics pretty soon for you.

It's only 2 inductors, 2 caps, and an L-Pad

Thanks for the photo and the schematic!

I'm copying this image link from Junker over from the Shindo thread on the Altecs...

Curious if anyone else has stands for their Flamencos or links to images where it has been done. It seems the Valencias can benefit by the bottom molding being more easily removed, whereas the Flamenco not so much.

Ok so I did similar things to Junker but not as nice - 3/4" baltic birch top plate with 4x4" 15" tall legs - stained all that dark brown (Minwax but ther are less smelly ones I think), Turned out way too dark, so check the color of course first. I only used one long screw and some glue to affix teh legs. My speakers ar enot flat at their bottoms so had to add isolation of rubber/cork on all for corners an dfinally added brass footers from Mapleshade I had at hand (bought used). Hope this helps.
