When it comes to "Mid-range magic" the 300sei will beat anything I have ever heard.

A tweaked 300sei is a "Giant killer".

It's almost unfair what low powered tube amps can do.

I'm a believer in the simple beauty of SET's now (and the 300B in particular)! Looking at the upgrade options, if I send mine in to have the subwoofer pre-outs installed, I'm going to do all the other upgrades Cary offers (caps, rectifiers, source selector switch and speaker binding posts).

CRJCapt - have you upgraded your 300SEI?

I just have the upgraded F1 model from Upscale.

I plan on getting the new Western Electric 300B tubes when they become available again. Also upgrade the other tubes at the same time.

The main front end is a Nakamichi CR-7A which is getting replaced by a newly restored DRAGON.
