Default Fenice speaker cables?
Does SF have any recommendations for the Fenice speaker cables?

I think the CES pair were using Transparent. Then I noticed this pair at the Tokyo Audio Show that were using Yter. May be its a distributor thing...

Yes Howie, at CES Transparent were used. I would probably experiment with a few before making my final decision.

Still waiting on final approval of some new Amp lines too.

Just emerged from my post CES Coma and 2 days of Wolf Setup.


Many things go into choosing a partner for a show. Certainly sound is principle among them but it is not the only reason. We used Transparent on The Sonus faber, Shunyata on the Futura and the Toy Tower Classics, and Audioquest on the Liutos in the Wolf Cinema theater. Probably not the answer you wanted but there it is.

More interesting to me is the pic. I can tell you that we listened to the orientation of jumper wires and input wires and it makes a pretty significant difference. I can also tell you that we wired them differently than they did in Tokyo.

The jumpers can add a small amount of resistance, therefore changing their orientation can make slight changes to the voicing/balance of the speakers.

There are two variables to consider: Orientation of the jumpers as well as which of the three input terminals to use. We tried all the permutations and there was a very clear sonic winner. It can be seen in MasterLu's spectacular pics from CES.

Isn't that great. You can have two pairs of Fenices just by re-wiring the jumpers!

Meanwhile my pair of Yter speaker cables are due at the end of the month
