Default MC205 Trigger - NO GLOW

Whats Up Gentlepeople.

Until the mx150 arrives I'm using the 12 volt trigger out from my Sunfire Theatre Grand IV in a daisey chain format from MC501 to MC501 to MC205.

SO now when i power up or down the Sunfire, all the amps power on and off accordingly... However the all important blue meter's on the mc205 do not light up in this configuration. THe MC501's on the other hand do light up.

I checked the manual.. I think i have it right... I'm hooked into the top trigger input.. which is Zone 1 and handles all 5 channels. The only other trigger i can plug into turns off channel's 3-5 or 4-5 (can't remember exactly). And the unit itself does power on and off.. just no blue meters.

The left hand switch doesn't appear to do anything whether it's on or off. If I take the trigger cable out.. Then the blue glow turns on (if the switch is on the on position).

Any Ider's...

Perhaps this will all be resolved once the mx150 gets here... but figured I best ask sooner then later.

Poobah.......Are you using a mono or stereo mini plug? McIntosh requires a stereo mini plug be used. I am not familiar with the MC205, but this may be the problem.

Dan,

You are correct. The newest model amps have meter light control which uses a stereo power control cable. Mono will allow the unit to turn on but trigger the meter light out function.

Thanks,
