Congratulations sir! The MC462 is a beauty indeed. Very nice setup you have there...I have no doubt you'll love this amp and have it for a long time.

Congrats! I've got my eye on a MC462 as well, but some of the 2nd hand MC452 prices are tempting me.

Listen to both if you can. I did, on different systems, and different stores, and different Preamps (MC pre compared to my NAD) but the 452 didn't wow me like the 462 did.

Wonderfull setup and room.
But if all the other parts of the room are like that you can make the set sound many times better if you make acoustical adaptations.
I know what (mis)happened when I changed my room from an acoustically wonderfull room to a room like yours. Same room, but what a dramatically worse sound.

Thanks for the compliment. The room is treated, everywhere I am willing to , as well as the speaker position and listening area laid out for sound, not looks. You can even see some of the treatments, huge bass soffits in the front corners. I've listened to identical equipment in dealer's treated rooms, and mine sounds better to me. Can it be improved? Of course, but it's a living room. My smaller upstairs system's room is even more treated and this one still destroys it.
