About d*mn time....iTunes has become bloatware, performing functions it was never designed to do.

I used it for a good portion of time in the past, but I kept cursing at them for changing
look and feel and some functions with updates. Then you have the XML database that
if you had it broken you had to do miracles to bring it back to life. Also, having it for the sake
of downloading songs to your phone was a major PITA.

I stopped using and never looked back.

I'd still use it to download music to my phone. Workout music or jogging music. It still had a purpose.

Since I still buy cd’s and rip them to my iMac in AIFF format, I use iTunes quite regularly to download new music to my iPhone and iPad. Memory is no longer an issue with these idevices so I can keep those music files in AIFF format.

Tried iTunes way back in the day when it very first launched. Hated it. Never went back.
