Default Breaker Box Question

Looking at getting some new kitchen appliances. I asked the sales person about electrical requirements as we are looking at a slide in induction/convection range and a new microwave oven. The requirements are:

40 amps for the range
20 amp for the microwave (preferably on its own circuit)

I've attached pictures from our box. I believe I am good on the 40 amp for the range, but not so sure on the microwave. Any help would be appreciated. I will be using an electrician for another job, but wanted to know if our current set-up handles the above. Appreciate the help!

Steve.......Yes, you are good to go. Use the existing 40A double pole oven circuit for your new range, and use the existing 20A single pole circuit for the microwave oven. Both are fixed appliances. The National Electrical Code (NEC) requires all fixed appliance be powered from individual dedicated circuits.

Dan - Thank you very much! That is good news.

There are so many skills that I wish I had learned from my dad growing up and electrical is one of them. He worked for Western Electric as an installer and could basically build and repair anything. It seemed like he always had his solder iron and meters out working on something. Of course, I had other things to do so never paid attention. Still regret that 40 years later.

I still remember having a test in school on ohm's law and resistance. Typically, my dad could never help me with my school work, but this was one area he could. I remember working with him on the subject and how happy he was that he could help me. I got an A on the test and you would have thought I had won a nobel prize as he was so happy and proud. It's funny how you can remember these little pieces of time from your past even though it was at least 35 years ago. Wish I could have told him that he helped me in so many ways and that his work ethic (never had a sick day in 40 years) really shaped who I am.
