APC SMC1000-2U UPS Backup Arrived

The APC UPS benefits from the clean and regulated power the P10 delivers, as does any connected component powered by the UPS. Makes sense to have the APC in the mix and it looks fantastic in the black! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. I for one will be looking into this as I’m getting a silenzio and want to make sure I keep it fed a steady uninterrupted stream of pure sine wave goodness!

Buck.......Thank you. There was no way I was going to install a base metal silver box in my audio rack. I'm not sure what my original plan was for the Valspar satin black spray paint, but I was fortunate to have a brand new can on the shelf in my shop today. I am pleased with the results of my paint job. It looks like it came from the factory in black.

Charles.......Power interruptions are tough on computers/servers. Being able to keep your server running during a brief power outage is worth the small investment in a quality UPS.

Mitch.......No doubt about it. In my opinion an APC UPS to backup your new Silenzio and the connected NAS is essential. In the past tens years I have never operated a music server without backup power. I am positive it is one reason why I have gotten such good service from these components through the years. I have UPS backups on all of my desktop computers, three satellite receivers and their 4K televisions, on two music servers, and on my security system DVR. Cheap insurance for the protection and reliability they provide.

Ed.......Thanks. I actually sprayed the case black before I ever turned the UPS on. As I was painting the case I thought that I sure hope this UPS works because there is no way B&H Photo would take it back once I remove the various stickers on the cover and painted it a different color. Once the paint dried and I removed the masking tape from the front and back panels I plugged it in, held my breath and pressed the power button. Thankfully the APC UPS came right to life. I think if there's a next time I will check that it works before I change the color just to be safe.
