Thumbs up Ortofon Cadenzia Blue MC Cartridge On The Way!!!

I ordered an Ortofon Cadenza Blue moving coil cartridge from one of AA's Sponsers (Jeff from A/V Solutions) last night. Jeff is great to buy from with excellent advice and great pricing. I will be putting this on my VPI Classic with the VPI JMW Memorial Tonearm. This came about because my step dad stopped using my father's old Denon DP-61F turntable. Which I reacquired. I will be putting my Ortofon 2M Black on the Denon. Both tables will be run through my McIntosh C2300, which is very convenient having 2 separate TT inputs (MM & MC). Will post impressions when everything is all setup & running.

Jeff.......Congratulations on the Ortofon Cadenza Blue moving coil cartridge. You will be mighty impressed, I'm sure. I have been considering the Cadenza Blue for the Micro Seiki m505a tonearm on my Micro Seiki DD-40 turntable in the living room system. It presently has the Ortofon 2M Black mounted on it, and I would like to go to a moving coil phono cartridge for that system. The Ortofon Cadenza Blue has the ruby cantilever with Ortofon's Nude FG 70 stylus. I will be looking forward to your review of this phono cartridge.

I am using the Ortofon Cadenza Black (thank you A/V Solutions) on the SME 309 tonearm mounted on my Michell Gyro SE turntable. It is flawless in my opinion. I am thoroughly enjoying the open, well defined performance. If the Cadenza Blue is anything near the Cadenza Black, it will be a terrific performer.

Thanks Dan... This will be my first foray into a moving coil cartridge. I am very much looking forward to this. I will be glad to write my impressions and comparisons to my 2m Black.

Jeff @ A/V Solutions let me know that my cart is on the way. Will be at my house by the end of the week. After reading some other threads today I realized I have to get 2 more tubes for the MC stage in my c2300. Any recommendations other than the Gold Lions that I am using in the 4 other spots. I may end up with GL's but just checking. Thanks.
