Just a quick update. I wish I had gone to a MC cartridge years ago. The difference in sound is just incredible! I wish I could write my reviews like Dan (jdandy), all I can say is that I love the sound of my system so much more with the Cadenza Blue! Oh yea, by the way tomorrow I will be listening to the AMR CD-777.

Jeff.......Thanks for the follow up on the Ortofon Cadenza Blue. I am still contemplating the Cadenza Blue to replace my Ortofon 2M Black moving magnet phono cartridge.

Dan... Just as a reference. When I went from the 2M Bronze to the 2M Black I didn't notice a huge difference. I would actually say if someone wanted to save a few bucks the bronze would do nicely and pocket the extra bucks for something else. On the other hand if some one asked me 2m Black of Cadenza Blue I would tell them there is no comparison. It is a night & day difference. The Cadenza Blue has brought my vinyl to a totally new level. I will always run a mc cartridge for now on. I would also very much like to try a Benz-Micro Gullwing soon. Damn! My shopping list just gets longer & longer.

Congrats Jeff and thanks for the followup.
I have been using Clearaudio Maestro MM for 6 yrs now - my 2nd Maestro.
I have never heard a moving coil in my system.
Your experience is helpful
I am also hopeful to get into a Benz Gullwing on my VPI arm

The Cadenza Black and Blue are my favorites in the Cadenza line with the Bronze being my third favorite.....many like the Blue over the bronze due to its open airy characteristics, the Bronze is a bit more meaty on the bottom with a tad less air but still a great cart.....really all depends what your after.

j3brow... Glad I could help. I think you will be very pleased with the results if & when you try a MC cart.
