Default SSP-800 Issue

Have owned my Classe gear (SSP-800 and CA-5200) since 2010. Went to watch a movie yesterday and the SSP-800 was totally dark. I Power Cycled the unit by turning it off in the back, pulling the power plug, and waiting 5 minutes before starting it again. When that did not work, I pulled the fuse above the power connection and tested it. The fuse is good. I also tried a different power cord and a different wall outlet without success.

I will be calling the dealer I bought it from when they open on Monday.

Is there anything else that I should try? I do not want to open the unit as I will get it professionally looked at. Thought maybe someone else had experienced this and has a suggestion.

Thank you!

Steve

Hi Steve, It sounds as if you have done all you can do. I had a similar type of problem with my SSP-800. I had the screen but no response when touched. The screens do fail but not often. It was shipped back to Canada for repair. That was two years ago. Great sounding unit. I am still happy with mine. Good luck and keep us posted.
