That will be quite the Christmas present!

An integrated definitely saves space and cables.
I come from a (tube) pre and 2 (tube) mono blocks, each with their separate power supply. That is from 5 boxes down to 1, and a pile of high end cables waiting for a new purpose...

Thank you! Saving space, downsizing is exactly why I did it. I've been through a lot of gear over the past 3 years, and I'm at a point where I want fewer boxes and cables.

I don’t think it would necessarily sound better than my C22 MC275VI combo, it would just be different and save a lot of space. It’s just something I can’t stop thinking about. Sort of the grass is greener thing even though it it may not be true.

Your 22 + 275 is an AMAZING combo. IF you want to spend money, upgrade your speakers. Not sure the bang is worth the buck. Almost impossible to beat what you have. JMHO... ENJOY!!!!

I agree. The 22 & 275 combination is amazing.

McIntosh needs to offer a 22 + 275 integrated amplifier, in my opinion. I would buy one in a second and believe it would be very popular for those looking to create a minimalistic system.

No they don’t, because it will be some hideous design like they have been coming out with lately like the 252, 352, C8 etc.

Yes I’m hating lol.

They used to make the MA2275: http://www.mcintoshcompendium.com/Co...DFs/MA2275.pdf which pretty much was an C22 combined with a MC275.

I had an MA2275 in my system for some time. Nice integrated. Very musical if not a bit too laid back in combination with some speakers. I had it on Wilson Sophia and it was a splendid combination but would have been a bit too polite for some ears.

Default McIntosh MA12000

I had an MA2275 too and loved it. The preamp section was actually more a C220 than C22. To me, that integrated was beautiful to look at as well. It was unfortunate that I had to sell it but then again, my current setup outperforms it by quite a bit.

Also, I realize I would likely be going backwards by getting rid of what I have and getting the MA12000. The only reason I have thought about it is for space saving reasons only.
