Glenn, great find Also a fan here of the MJQ and Milt's vibes

For those who enjoy bass and good music, here’s another one following the foot steps of Brian Bromberg’s Wood. But this one is a lot different.
Super Bass 2, featuring Ray Brown, Christian McBride and John Clayton. It’s also a good record.

Another not so well recorded LP, but very enjoyable playing by this not well know pianist from Bordeaux who seem to have worked mostly in the US (Vegas, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco)

The Swinging' Chris Ibenez Trio Likes Garner

Released in 1963 on Decca US & on Brunswick/DG Germany

John Lewis, Ray Brown (before being replaced by Percy Heath)... both former MJQ members, originally the rhythm section of the Dizzy Gillespie's big band

Duke Ellington & John Coltrane

Recorded in 1962, released in 1963 on Impulse!

Wonderful encounter between 2 icons of different generations, playing mostly Duke's tunes, with a respectful Coltrane but we can feel the beginning of a more free spirit

Duke Ellington - Piano
John Coltrane - Tenor & Soprano Sax
Aaron Bell, Jimmy Garrison - Bass
Elvin Jones, Sam Woodyard - Drums
