I use my Sophias as the L-R mains in my HT and a modded Rocket RSC-200 as a center and it integrates beautifully. Center channels are made for mid-range clarity. I doubt that you would like them for 2 channel listening.

Serge & I discussed that today. The image loss with even the very best micro perf acoustic transparent screens are too great.

I know first hand, I went that route & had to bite the bullet and replace the screen.

Was the image loss bad during movies? I meant a retractable motorized screen that could be out of the way for 2 channel.

Get the largest screen you can fit in the room and then pick out speakers. I have a 120 inch screen in my room and I wish it was larger. If you remember the front most seat is not that far, 12 feet from the screen and still looks good. Can you put the screen on the long wall so you can use different speakers ? You would also not need to have 2 rows like I have but could fit more seats next to each other with a 21 foot wide back wall.

I agree get a solid screen or the micro perf will annoy you every time you notice it.

The long wall is 26 ft but that would be an awkward looking room and everyone would be sitting on one loooong couch.

Meridian is an idea. much less gear to store on the room.
