Audio improvements under consideration for 2015

It was interesting to read of the improvements members have made to their systems in 2014 in a prior post by Puma Cat on that subject. It also prompted the question about what others are planning for 2015.
I'll start with my plans and hope others follow.

JL Audio CR-1 active crossover
Creating a dedicated audio-only electrical infrastructure
Room acoustical tuning
Replace Stillpoints Ultra Minis with Ultra SS under preamp

McIntosh tube pre-amp for 2-channel listening.

A new pair of speaker cables for the run between the MC501's and the Aerial Acoustic 8's.

I'd also like to end the year with having acquired two (2) MC252 amps for my HT center and rear speakers.

I might try some Stillpoints under my K-03.

I also would like to get proper amp stands.

I don't know if I will be able to accomplish all of it in 2015, but here goes....

Living Room system:

1. Close purchase on McIntosh MDA1000

2. 3M WW Gold Starlight AES/EBU Digital interconnect

3. 2M WW Aurora 7 Power cord

4. Bryston BUC-1 USB to Coax converter

5. Oppo BDP-105D


Ideally, I would like to see items 1,2, 3 and 4 above occur simultaneously.
When MDA 1000 comes in, W4S DAC-2 DSDse will move to office system.


Office system:

1. Replacement subwoofer; likely JL Audio E110 OR perhaps a nice pre-
owned F110.

2. Repurposing of W4S DAC-2 DSDse to this system, as above.

When W4S DAC-2 DSDse moves to this system, original DAC-2 moves to Florida Room system.


Florida Room System:

1. New 32" Samsung Smart TV

2. Repurposing of original DAC-2 to this system, as above.

3. Cabling upgrades to this system.

A Marchand Crossover to replace the modified Beheringer DCX2496 in my main rig, and a Lyra Delos cartridge.

I want a low-lying stereo rack/ cabinet big enough to hold all my gear and hide the cabling.

1) in the two channel room, I am going to move my equipment to the side of my room. That will require some new PCs and ICs.
1a) possible upgrade to the rack, HIFI fuses, more HRS weights, ?
2) I will get an Oppo for my theater
3) would like to update my processor from the MC1 and join this decade.
4) Want to explore isolation... Isopeds, Stillpoints.

For 2015:

- Stillpoints under my Alexias (Ivan - heads up!)
- New DAC - Considering the Berkeley Ref, PS Audio DS, Bricasti M1 or potentially a new music server like the Lumin A1 or S1 - need to decide if DSD is important to me (have only a few SACD disc and no DSD formatted music today)
- Upgrade the Shunyata Python Digital to Anaconda - with the new DAC
- Considering moving up to the Shunyata Sigma from the Alpha
- More music, of course!
