If my memory is correct, you made that same comment while Rodney & I were visiting back in July 2010. So your project to clean up your 'out building' has been on the back burner for a much longer period than my desk organizing project.

Besides, my desk will be organized -- cleaned, organized, polished, looking spick n' span-ish in another hour or so.

Dan... Tell me there's a schematic drawing in that box. My neighbor has a very nice metal shop at his house. He's a semi-retired machinist still makes molds and airplane parts. He could make a bunch of these for us!!!

Jeff.......No such luck, only the drawing I posted, and inside that piece of paper is instructions on how to mount and operate the lifter. That's it. No schematic.

Just found the Audio Technica AT-6006 version of the tonearm lifter on eBay.ie for $137.75 plus $32.00 shipping. The price written on my box is $19.30. Of course that was back in 1981.

Found another AT-6006 lifter on eBay.ca that recently sold for $120.37 plus $14.00 shipping. These tone arm lifters are in demand. I don't know why Audio Technica doesn't market these again, especially with the large increase in turntable sales over the past five or six years.

The Signet SK501 tone arm lift is installed on the Michell Gyro SE turntable. It smoothly lifts the Ortofon Cadenza Black/SME 309 tone arm from the lead out groove without a hitch. I was just listening to the Gerry Mulligan - Little Big Horn on 180 gram vinyl, and at the end of side one I was in the middle of answering an email. No problem, the Signet lift did its job raising the tonearm, and I was able to complete my email response without having to jump up to get the tonearm out of the leadout groove. Life is good. I may have to try and locate another for my Micro Seiki turntable. The Signet SK501 tone arm lift is slick.
