Lately I found out that VSI75 makes Sophia3 sound better if I use 8ohm output. Anybody out there have had the same experience?

I've been told several times that the posts are just a suggestion; you should use whichever tap SOUNDS best.

For example, my dealer usually uses the 8 ohm tap to drive his Sasha 1s.

Peter McGrath told me to try the 8 ohm taps on my Ref 110 and Sashas. I changed from the 4 to 8 ohm taps and preferred it. I've done the same with my Ref 150.

So I just saw the news TAS and the promised Audio Research integrated review, but rather than review the one year old VSi75 which has not been reviewed yet, TAS decided to review the 5 year old VSi60 which already won component of the year from Stereophile in 2010! What's next, a review of the Sony Betamax? If I wanted to see a review of products 4-5 years old I can look up a back issue at the library. Why didn't TAS review the VSi75? A real head scratcher!

I don't know of a single speaker that sounds better through ARC's 4-ohm taps.

Totally unbelievable! That's really lame. Had expected better from TAS.

Was really surprised to see that TAS not only reviewed the VSi60...
...but they even mention the VSi60 on the cover... and top it with Tube Power! (they wrote it in bold red font)

The VSi75... not even mentioned

I was looking forward to the 75 review. When I first saw the cover of the new TAS I thought maybe it was a typo. Then I flipped through to find the review and couldn't believe it. ARC has a great new integrated that's causing a buzz and they review a 5 year old kit that everyone is already familiar with. What were they thinking?
