ARC Ref phono 3

What did you have before? I wonder how this sounds next to my e03. My dealer tried to lend me one, I said no because I know I'll want it.

I've had Bel Canto Phono 3 - which was a really under rated unit. Great range of settings - maybe even more so than the ARC.

I've also dabbled with a Korean Allnic H1200 (which went missing when I moved) and a Ray Samuel f117. The RSA is the one that made me want a unit with on the fly adjustments so I could experiment with loading. Ideally with a remote.

And with balanced out.

Having owned the Ref5SE I knew I would have liked the Ref2SE Phono or its successor. And I was right.
