Is there a current SPU mono cart ? I understand, that as of yesterday, that no more EMT mono carts are being made, for example-

Could you please let us know which model ?

Cheers,
David

David,

The one I'm considering is the Ortofon SPU Mono GM Mk2. Msrp around $850.

I would like to try the emt ofd 15 if still available? The 25 I thought was still being made.

I use an A headshell but they have the Xod 25 too.

My dealer Matt at Pitch Perfect sells these.

I found this review:

Richard-

As of day before yesterday, all dealers were informed that EMT is no longer making mono carts, from my understanding....

BTW, what is the retail of the EMT OFD 15i ? If Matt has them, you should grab it before they're gone-

Not entirely accurate-

EMT is restructuring their cartridge lineup. Only the OFD series is being discontinued. They were produced since 1959 and a mold for some key components needs replacing, so they are not available at this time. They will, however, continue to produce certain mono cartridges, like the TMD/TND series to enjoy mono LP's and 78's.

Richard,
May i ask you how the story with speakers and DACs went on? I am not a regular reader here at a‘aficionado, just sometimes read about Shindo and actually interested in the Shindo speakers.
Best regards, Balázs

I ended up very satisfied with petite latours though I have a bigger pair stored away for future use. I never went further with the DAC

Thank for your answer.
Which Petit Latour are they?
I am also thinking about a quite new pair of Alnico version Petit Latour with the opening on the front.
But the last weeks I have heared some Western Electric setups, some with 22a, and a fantastic one with 16a.
Do someone have direct comparisons with Western Electric and petit or the big Latour speakers in a Shindo system?
Thanks for any information.
