Looks like I might be joining the Stax club soon. Got a line on a pair of Stax 007 mk1's combo'd with a KGST amp. Been wanting to break into the club for a while now. Should be fun

Bought a pair of SR-009S with the SRM-700T. Amazing! Like being in the fifth row

I had a long fruitless search before these, insisting I would not buy a pair of headphones that could not match my Mc/B&W main system. But these may be better...

Yeah, a good headphone setup can definitely turn the whole concept of good sound and the incredible "dollar invested to musical enjoyment derived" on its head by comparison to a 2 channel rig. Enjoy.

They make cheaper amps that will mate well with the the SR-009's that Ivan can fix you up with.
