Thanks again for all the feedback. I’ve opted for bi-wire, but my understanding is that Shunyata’s Alpha has two conductors, so the bi-wire setup simply adds two connectors at one end, for about the same overall cost as buying the single connectors and a set of comparable jumpers.

Within the limits of my budget....but a single run of Sigmas with Sigma jumpers would be pretty sweet.

I have tried bi-wiring. The speakers high freq and low freq networks were wired internally so they were isolated when the jumpers were removed. I used two sets of speaker cables and wired the high freq posts from the "A" output of the amp and the low freq posts from the "B" output of the amp.
There was a nice improvement in the lower mid range, it was much cleaner. |
