Question about the Venom 14 Power Cord
I just purchased a Venom 14 power cord. Attached to the cord is the following warning "CAUTION The drain wire in this cord is not terminated to any of the terminals in the connector." What does this mean?
Moreover, what precautions should I be taking in using it?

It’s nothing more than UL bureaucratic BS.
They require it because it has a shield that is connected at only one end. As if that requires some kind of concern. Jeez!

Here is a visual which is easier to understand. Cable noise and grounding the shield. https://youtu.be/DOoyrsi6ctk

Thank you for that helpful video Serge.
Just in case in is not completely clear: The Venom V14 power cords are shielded and are grounded at just the plug end of the cord for the best possible noise reduction performance.

I thought I saw in @Puma Cat's video where it was at the IEC C13 end. |

Yes it is in the AC end. Many small components and TVs use the C5 or C7 connectors and have obstructed areas around the inlet. Therefore we have chosen to keep the component end of the cable small.

Good to know. Is it still possible to order the V14D with the NR on the component end though?
