I have a Clearaudio Da Vinci that I bought from a member here. He upgraded to a Goldfinger I think. If it is a step up from this, I can't even imagine.
This table/cart combo has the deepest noise floor I've ever listened to. The detail is incredible. I have been spinning almost non stop since getting it setup. It's like listening to all new lp's. I spent some additional time today adjusting azimuth and tracking force. I think it's setup where I like it now. The audio is so pure and clean it almost has a digital quality. I could not be happier for the moment.

Mark...Awesome & Congrats! Great to hear. I'm glad you are loving your new table & the DaVinci V2. Makes me feel better for deciding to sell it. It's an awesome cart, very quick & detailed too.

Yes I upgraded to a Goldfinger Statement with a GFV2 trade-in, DaVinci proceeds & some. I have it now but yet to mount it. Must get to it as I'm starting to miss vinyl.

DaVinci is the best performance to value at the CA reference level & could well be one of the top ten carts of all time IMO.

You have a fantastic system.

I can't imagine what that must sound like. You've setup a very nice system.

I've literally discovered the real sound of vinyl a month ago and now I'm addicted.

It's funny, no it's not funny, I gave away all my lp's 25 years ago. I thought I was moving into the future. Little did I know that vinyl would remain king and that I would be back. I purchased my 1st turntable in 25 years just 5 months ago.
Since then I been buying an average of 10-12 lp's a week. I might be addicted too.

I can relate to that. Life can be "funny" like that. It must really suck to have to pay premium price to buy LP you had on the cheap at the time

My opinion is that LP has always been better but very little people expoited it to its full potential.

I think that you need an above average table to get the best of vinyl and that could mean serious money quite quickly* plus you have to take care of the cart and the vinyl (it's almost a ritual) whereas with CDs (or MP3, download, ...) you know that you can expect a good quality even on a cheap setup which is what 90% of the people have. You lose some dynamics and get compression but you win on convenience and price. Only audiophile would go through this to get the extra little quality

*Though entry level Rega and Pro-ject can already help you getting there

And the vinyl has gotten better too
