What else can you say? Just magnificent. The Japanese SACD remastering is superb.
It is!
Even the surround mix is enjoyable, the trumpet having the center channel to itself.

Ben Webster - SOULVILLE - the late 50's recording with Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Ed Thigpen, Herb Ellis and Stan Levey.

Verve VE-2-2536 two record set.

Just pure pleasure to listen to this masterpiece.

This is post 3333 in this thread and in commemoration, I'm listening to

Stan Getz - Getz Au Go Go with Astrud Gilberto

A recording (LP) from 1964, recorded live in concert and amazingly good Bossa Nova music, captured extremely well by Verve Records.

Was listening to this a few hours ago, in 24/88 from the downloads from the other night. It's the The Bob Katz 15th Anniversary Remaster version.

Stephane Grappelli - Violin Jazz Master

Grappelli had it it all! - beautiful tone, excellent intonation and technique, lyrical style, tasteful, mature improvising that is easy on the listener's ear.
