?PWD MKII balanced, rca connections
I'm currently using the I2S connection between my PWT and PWD MKII.
Since I can't help but tweak, I'm curious if anyone has tried different connections between the transport and the DAC. I'm specifically interested in any experience that y'all have had with the balanced connection specifically and if you think that it is superior in any way to the HDMI connection. Thanks! |

Thanks Vhiner,
I got the Shunyata Zitron Python and oh my...what an improvement over the I2S! Much more detail, more 3D soundstage presentation, and much of the harshness in the treble is gone. |

Medwardo,
That's great news! Btw, I notice you have the CJ250s. How do you like it and what did you have before? |

How does the PWD direct to poweramp compares to your CJ pre amps ?

I prefer my preamp as opposed to direct to my solid state Classe'. But I've been told a direct to tube amp connection might please me. I'm curious.

Before I had a B&K Reference and prior a Phase Linear 300 II. Both of these were quite good with my old vintage DQ10s, but the CJ 250s really brought the old speakers to life. |

PWD > ET3SE pre > CJ 250s in a word: "organic." Bass not as tight as above; overall richer, more natural and with lovely decay. Treble more laid back, but not lacking any detail. Dynamic and will rock if you ask it to. Vocals are wonderful. My preference is for the latter as I'm keen on that organic thing. |
