I tried Ref 5 with XA160.5 driving the Maxx 3, somehow I still prefer the overall performance of Ref 5 and Ref 150

I hope to get a ref 75 or ref 150 for my Ref5se! I wonder what the soonic differences will be from my Bryston 14BST solid state amp. 600 watts per channel VS 150 or 75...I hope it's enough power for my Revel Salon2s..I will demo later this year...

Hi,
Im going to buy a New set with in a month. And lissent to allot of different amps. At the moment I'm thinking of buying the gs150 with the ref5se or the soulution 725 pre amp. The speakers im not sure About yet. I think it will be the magico s3. I found that the pre amp of the Galileo line was not as good as the ref5se and the Galileo power amp gs 150 is the best power amp. But I do miss a bit speed with the ref5se and the pre amp of soulution brings that. But the price difference is extreem.
I will buy the wadia 321 dac. Great price for a extremly good dac

REF 150 would be better for the Revel Salons2 or the REF250

Keen to hear your comments cos I have tried the 150 and felt it loses a little too much speed in return for more tube magic. I have not tried a direct ab comparison with the 75 vs Bryston in my system but did had a shoot out with SF Stradivari and the 75 is simply magical in its mids and highs - even more versus 150. I am toying with the idea of vertical bi amping with two 75 instead of a stereo 150.
