Default Graceline cables from Black Cat audio

I recently had the pleasure of listening to a new line of cables from Black Cat, called the Graceline cable. These cables come in three iterations...1( Kibou) 2 ( Setsuna) and 3 ( Mezzine). I have on hand the level one Kibou ic's. I have been listening to these in comparison with a number of competitors from Shunyata, Nordost, Synergistic, Cardas, Transparent, MIT and Siltech. The new Graceline cables easily beat the best that I have heard from Shunyata, Cardas, Synergistic, Siltech and Transparent, MIT...they are on a similar level to top flite Nordost...BUT at a considerably lower price point. The Graceline cables are available as Ic's, Sc's and at the level 2 a pc and I think a phono cable. If you have a dealer that give you a demo, I highly recommend them.

I had a listen to the level 3 XLR few weeks ago in my system. And compared with Valhalla 2 XLR which I am using now.

My system is almost full Nordost loom except speaker cables and interconnects from sources (lumin X1 and YBA passion phono) to preamp.

My finding is Graceline level 3 excels in the midrange texture, and with considerable good resolution and speed compared to previous black cat model (see below). Nordost is better in the speed, attack and the frequency extension in my opinion.

I also have black cat triode speaker cables (old model). Level 3 retains the black cat house sound, being musical and organic. And quite significant improvement over triode in term of the resolution attacks, with sweeter and better midrange texture too.

@kimurastanley Nordost Valhalla 2 is awfully hard to beat, but the price tends to keep a lot of folks on the sideline. You say your system is almost a full loom, but you also say that two of the most important areas are something else? The sc's and ic's from source are NOT Nordost??
Interesting that you say that the Nordost cables are better in speed, attack and freq extension...

Hi daveyf, totally agree with you that the price of Nordost valhalla 2 is pretty high and keep a lot of people away, especially the interconnect and speaker cable.

My sources interconnects are not Nordost, but I using valhalla 2 xlr from preamp to power amp. And that was where I swap to Graceline 3 XLR.
I find graceline level 3 is very musical cable (for me that means sweet mid, good texture on the vocal and mid)
