Waiting on ordered C-2700. 21 goals are to see how to best stream MQA. Might also look to cable upgrades.

New Analog rig (TT), possible refinements of main system FM setup, would like to upgrade my bedroom 5.1's front speakers (JBL 4401's) to the new L82 Classic.

Many things planned.

1- having modified and fully restored my second Yamaha CA-1000 by the best tech around ( currently underway but stopped because of Covid).
2- having all my synergistic blue fuses changed for orange in my CA-1000 amplifier.
3- upgrade my Bryston BDP-2 to BDP-3 WiFi
4- upgrade the digital cable to Shunyata Alpha v2 or Sigma
5- find a long Kimber KS-1016 interconnect you arrange my room
6- upgrade my Kimber KS-3033 speaker cables to KS-6063
7- upgrade the audio rack

Not sure I will be able to realize #5,6,7 but 1,2,3,4 are a must do.

I upgraded almost all of my components last year. I have a Linn LP12 with Koetsu Redwood Signature on order which I should receive in about a month and I should be done for a decade. Typically I upgrade to a new level... then enjoy listening to music for about ten years before some advance or shortfall in my system catches my attention.

My plan is to get 1 JL Audio f113 subwoofer to mate with my existing f113 and also upgrade my Marantz AV8801 Pre/Pro to either the Marantz AV8805/6 or AV 7706. Looking at the Yamaha CX-A5200 as a possibility as well.

Default Second F113

I was lucky enough to snag a pair of F113 V1 subs in one transaction - they are awesome and add so much to the sound quality. Balance and symmetry lead to synergy.

I was also lucky enough that they fit exactly on a pair of Core amp stands that saw duty for most of their life holding up a pair of Krell Evo 600s. At 135 lbs each, the amps were rock solid, and the same is true for the subs...I can place my hand flat on the floor directly in front of them at pretty substantial volume and there is no vibration transmitted to the floor.

I ran the auto EQ DSP on them individually, but when my Sasha DAWS were installed, the dealer and I manually adjusted them so there is just the slightest overlap at the lower end of the speakers’ range. It is seamless, and I was amazed how much minor adjustments on the subs affected the overall sound quality.

I’m slowly upgrading some cabling that I’ve had for around 10 years in my system. The new Shunyata Sigma V2 line of power cables are replacing some Stealth Dream power cables, and after a test run of plugging my D’Agostino Momemtum HD pre directly into a dedicated 20 amp circuit (via Stealth Dream V18), I’m pondering a Shunyata Omega QRs-s.

Saving my pennies...

I think Shunyata/Dag an excellent paring and would go with the cords with the built in conditioners. No active power conditioner for Dags.

Best
