The images look great.

Who builds the camera body?

The original Fujifilm S-1, S-2 and possibly other bodies were made by Nikon and re-worked by Fuji.

Fujifilm manufactures both the body and lenses.

Will lenses from the xt-2 work with this body? No idea why I’m asking, as I love the XT-2.

As a collector of old film cameras and 80s/90s Nikon F3 and FM2 bodies in particular, I love the retro style of your new Fujifilm.

Yes, of course. All Fujiflm XF lenses will work on any interchangeable lens X-mount camera.

Me, too. That was one of things that appealed most to me about this system when I bought in to it back at the end of 2012. Amazing to see what Fuji has done in a little over 5 years.

Congrats Steve. The in body image stabilization is nice. Now I see there is a X T3 coming which will be full frame and be able to use legacy lens from the current X mount system as well. It never ends. I have a XT2 and like it very much. I also have the older XE1 with a pankcake 25 mm lens as a light walking around camera for street photography, even this older sensor still takes good pictures but evf is a joke in comparison to the newer models

Stephen,
What are your thoughts regarding the XH1 vs the XT2? I do not, and have not ever, shot video which seems to be one of the areas that the XH1 excels. The IBIS is maybe a game changer. I am going on a trek to Peru next month and currently have an XT1. I wanted to upgrade the sensor to the 24MP and it would be nice to have access to the Acros film simulation. I am doing mental gymnastics about which way to go. It appears you have both and I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks

The X-T3 will be an APS-C camera. Fujifilm will never make a full-frame camera. They already are developing bodies and lenses for two completely different systems, X-Mount and GFX-mount medium format and this is a already considerable commitment of resources and capital investment with respect to camera bodies, but more importantly, completely developed lens systems. To develop a 3rd, completely different system that will compete with Canon, Nikon and Sony would be a big mistake because they would lose in competing against all 3 of those companies. So, they are not going to go there.
