I've quoted myself! So, I've learned another Audio lesson...never use the word definitely with Audio! After two and half days of listening here are my conclusions: The Rockna Edition is more three dimensional, better spacing, and has more detail. The immediate impression is that Dave is not quite as good... not as detailed, not as airy or three dimensional; however the Dave is satisfying at a musical level in a way that the Rockna Edition just can't achieve. I'm keeping my Chord Dave.

Interesting experience which illustrates how initial impressions in audio can sometimes be misleading in determining how to optimize our long term listening enjoyment. Glad that you didn't act too quickly after your first impressions and took the time to focus on what brings you the most musical satisfaction in your system. It's easy to be consumed by chasing the holy grail of the latest new gear (which I'm guilty of) but it doesn't always end up being better than what we already have.
