Pic 2 shows some fluff stuck to the engraving & dust here & there. Much of what you see on the gold is light reflection off the uneven landscapes though.

I have not handled the carts facias, even when mounted. There was a partial fingerprint from the factory which I managed to remove carefully with some isopropyl alcohol & a gold cloth.

There are a few common artefacts in both pics which could do with some Lightroom or Photoshop work to clean up. Could be a few dust specs on the mirror or the lens.

Pics were reduced for friendliness & pic 2 was also cropped.

I was surprised to discover the manufacturing glue marks on the facia. But hey, they're handmade & polish marks & such are to be found at this resolution.
That's bad dude; something that would look amazing on a absorption panel in art form if it would transfer over.

Dan...Yes I installed them. Thanks for the reminder to comment. It did not take me long to remove them. They did the opposite to what they claim to offer in my system. i.e CA GoldFinger Statement to MT10 tonearm cable EM shielding.

They introduced considerable noise. The litmus is maxing out the phono-stage volume & comparing them in & with them out.

Given that, I would definitely not recommend the Furutech LaSource102.

Upon visual inspection the product looks OK but it's possible that I may have defective goods. That could explain it, but I doubt anything is wrong with my set. I would be interested to hear another's experience.

For those that think I may have any particular sort of bias, I don't. I have no hesitations when it comes to putting forth my opinion if the claim demonstrates to be cr#p.

Steve.......So, with the Furutech LaSource102's installed and the gain wide open with nothing playing they were noisier than the factory headshell leads that came with the MT10? Other than that particular test, did you give them a listen with music at your typical volume levels?

Dan..Correct. Yes I did. Even after a couple of re-insertions & re-checking all colour codes were correctly matched, at typical volume levels they were noisier. I did not want to proceed playing any material because I was worried that I would harm the Goldfinger or something else.

Steve.......That is strange when you consider Furutech's reputation for extremely high quality products. I don't know what could possibly be defective with headshell leads, maybe a bad crimp or silver solder joint. Are the MT10 factory headshell leads copper? How about the tonearm wire?

It's possible. All product deserves consumer scrutiny despite a perceived reputation though. I have a high regard for Furutech products & use them extensively but that doesn't mean everything.

The MT10 headshell wire is terminated for direct connection to the cart. The headshell wires travel inside the tonearm & probably looms continuously to form the tonearm cable which then terminates internally to the RCA jacks. The metallurgical composition is probably what is typical of a ClearAudio tonearm cable.

Amazing looking system MyPal, congrats! I couldn't help but grin when looking at the pictures of just your cables a page or so back

I see that you are using some Siltech cables. I don't see them in use much. Just curious, compared to the Anacondas you had how close were the Ruby Mountains thickness wise? The Anacondas are 7 AWG. The Ruby's don't quite look that thick but it's a bit hard to tell from the photos. If not as thick it looks like they don't give up much thickness wise, perhaps 9 AWG like the WW Platinum Eclipse speaker wire?
