You can "play" with the balls distribution and number to increase or decrease the stiffness of the suspension. I like it a lot and just tried it under the P9 TT ( with only 4 balls instead of 7 with the Clearaudio....). Improved the details and low resolution very clearly. Highly recommended. Serge used one for his Clearaudio and Kevin (Miner )uses one too under his P9.

Steve, you should also check Pro Audio Bono platforms. The design and build quality is superb.
Check the review in english in High Fidelity from Poland. I would like to try one and will surely order in the next weeks. Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado

Jérôme... I like the look of the PAB Reference AVP very much & I think it would synergise well with the Quadraspire. Their feet kind of look like Stillpoints.

What I like is : - their isolation design, inspired from SME - obviously very very well built - the fact they are in Poland. Gear and stuff from european eastern countries are often awesome : those guys have the rage to success ! A member here is using them. I'm sure that they can be awesome especially under TTs... The Gingko is very primitive compared to those...

I am a scientist and would love to put these stands through real double blinded studies. |

Sounds to me like maybe the dx5 on a stand. I doubt the kxr has any vibration issues
Anybody out there try under Mac mini ? The stands cost as much as the mini!!! |

I wanted to get my tube pre and C-5xeMP off the floor and more isolated from vibrations but, being descended from cheapskate New Englanders, didn't want to spend a lot of coin. The solution? VTI glass amp stands (about $100 each) and homemade myrtlewood blocks I made from turning blanks (raw materials for those and speaker cable lifts I have yet to make was less than $50). I doubled the Cardas golden whatever the heck it is formula and hand-cut the blocks to those specs using my great-grandfather's hand miter saw - he was a master machinist and the 100+ year old saw he made himself allows for more precise and smoother cuts than my chop saw does. I will say that myrtlewood is TOUGH: takes about five times longer to cut than oak and my right arm got a good workout. The blocks sit between the stands and the gear. Any result? Yeah, I got a little more bass weight and a wee bit of softening in the upper mids/lower treble. Maybe a little soundstage width expansion too, although I could be hallucinating that last part. But I think taking the pre and CD player out of the 10-outlet daisy chain fed by a single 15 amp line (!) and installing a dedicated 20 amp line into a Furutech GTX-D rhodium outlet for them to feed upon paid bigger dividends.
