This is one superlative CD player. Sonically, I think it's better than the MCD500.... it is THAT good!

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT: Bryston BDA-3 – I was Floored!

January 2016

Bryston:

I received my BDA-3 yesterday.

Spent not much time setting it up, launched Audirvana on a Mac Mini and streamed in a DSD--and I was simply floored!

I followed it with CDs and SACDs--no matter, the sound was crystal clear, perfectly spatially separated and stable. I think I listened for six straight hours.

Of course the unit was feeding a BP-25 preamp and 4B SST amp, so it was going to sound good. It's much more though. It sounds GREAT.

Well done, all around. Bryston products are not cheap, but so worth it.

Regards,
Mark Dynarski

Could be a bad post. He was referring to. BDA-3, which is a DSD capable DAC.

Default New Bryston BCD-3!

Congratulations James. I'm sure it will sound amazing.

Will it be displayed at the Axpona show this April?

"Bryston products are not cheap, but so worth it."

I don't think that $3500 for either the BDA3 of the BCD3 is necessarily expensive in comparison to what is available today. I would call it 'moderately' priced.

Having said that given the quality of the sound I'm hearing... I would say it is a BARGAIN!

Both these products can easily play with products twice their price.. and probably win.

BDC-3 DAC - Is this a new product that would add the functionality of the BDA-3 to the CD player?
