MotionFlow

Sony makes a number of different TV models, and so the method to use in order to turn off motion smoothing — which Sony calls “Motionflow” — can differ depending on your set. On many models, you can go to “picture settings,” “picture & display,” “picture adjustments,” and then “Motionflow” to turn it off. In some Sony TVs, from “picture adjustments,” you’ll have to go to “advanced settings” first, and then to “Motionflow.”

Now that you mention it, I think my MotionFlow is off. Maybe i should double-check. I haven't noticed any soap opera effect, though.

Bought the A9G in 77 inch size today. Delivery is set for several weeks out. I also plan to have it calibrated. I went through all the mental stuff before finally deciding to divorce from my Kuro.

Same here. The circumstances fell just right finally, and so here I am! I have a 65" though; no room (or real desire) for bigger.

Quite a trend. Held out with my Kuro until earlier this year. Finally felt on net that the A9G was better. If nothing else the menus and apps are so fast. Rare to have a electronics product that I did t feel the need to upgrade for a decade.

I bought my Kuro in July 2008, so I got 12.3 years from it. My previous TV, a Sony 27" XBR, lasted 16!

I think I have the A9G settings where I want them pretty much, now. I'm using the "Music" setting for sound. What other settings are good for audio, if anyone has other ideas, and why?
