A Glasgow built MRM Source turntable with a Zeta tonearm and a Koetsu Gold Onyx cartridge. It may be old-school but it still sounds just wonderful.

Long time no talk.... I really like both the Paua and the ART-9 equally. I would say the Paua is just slightly more lush or fleshy sounding than the ART-9 but does not quite track as well, though the SS Paua is no slouch tracking-wise, and I would not classify the ART-9 as dry either. A bit more treble extension with the ART-9 makes it a really exciting cartridges on all types of music. The ART-9 may have a touch more bass than the Paua too. It's really hard to discern the differences because the Paua is such a great balanced cartridge that does everything really well. |
