The PB1i goes lots louder than the OB1i.
If you must, try to audition the PB1i with Bryston amps. |

This review is sooooo weird.... He could've just summed it up in a sentence - "It came, I listened, it's not here anymore." As for the big power amp thing.... He is wrong, I demo'd with a SimAudio i3.3 integrated 100w @ 8ohms... And the thing sounded fantastic, more power helps but obviously isn't entirely neccessary to have a damned enjoyable listening experience.
... I don't know, maybe it's just me. The whole "it's a special speaker, but I don't mean a rides on the short bus kind of speaker.." What speakers ride the short bus anyway? I'm really confused.

Boy you guys are a sensitive lot. It was a very positive review. The British magazines do not seem as reticent as those here in NA to comment when they feel a piece of equipment does not compare well in one area or another.
There are a lot of people out there who do not like the equipment many of us are using. I can deal with that. They do not have to listen to my system. |
