The idea is just curiosity. It's not the idea to change my Gryphon power amp.
But... Krell FPB 350Mc modified is better than I thought.

Very cool....it’s amazing we’ve come that far that Krell FPB amplifiers are almost considered vintage. If I ever get the chance to setup an older school system, it would most likely be a pair of the FPBs along with a pair of Sonus Faber Extremas. That would be a lot of fun.

Tank you!
I agree!
And I'm amazed that these vintage amps probably knocks out a lot of moderna and costly amps.
HiFi development is not always going forward during time. I think to many producers are trying to invent the wheel over and over again. The best HiFi constructions from many decades ago are still up there if the electric component needed is replaced.
As an example, when we left magnetic tapes as a source (R2R), we have never made the sound better. Not yet.

In time. when I'm done with my evaluation, Krell FPB 350 Mc will power my Sonus faber Guarneri memento at my office. Not like Extrema but probably it will sound great.

Old picture.

And it's also true about this almost legendary pre-amp. Krell KCR-HR
