Oppo Android App

Anyone using Oppo's Android app with their 205/203? What do you think? Am hoping to use same to control the audio in from a HD thru one of the USB ports via a Samsung tablet.

Appears no one is using Oppo's Android app. Is anyone using any app from their Android tablet/phone to control their music via their Oppo? Anyone, anyone.............?

I have used the iOS app and it is very basic with a tree structure for selecting content. I have an android tablet in a drawer somewhere- I can see if I the Oppo app will load and send you some screenshots if you are interested.

I have the app. I use it so seldom I can't even comment on it. Does it work? Yes. Do I like it? No.

Tom - thanks, but was wondering if anyone might have used longer-term.

My goal is to plug my external HD into the USB input on my Oppo 203 and am looking for the best software to select FLAC music files from the HD when doing so.

Hello YB-2 - we do occasionally play music through the Oppo 205. I have tried an external USB drive (advantage: it will play gapless), but prefer the NAS where the main music library is.

However, have you tried the OPPO itself? The OPPO will build an index of the inserted media. You would use your main screen instead of a tablet though.

FWIW, I use minimserver on our NAS. Simple enough. However, it does not play gapless.
