ok, ok, I stop la langue de Molière to get back to the language of Shakespeare ;-)

So, what Accuphase electronics will take my Utopia to the last step (which should not be the last - isn't this an long Accuphase journey we are talking about here?)

Therefore, I ask here the same question as on the E-480 page:

What about the difference between an E-470 or E-480 compared to a couple of C-2120/P-4200?

And between a E-650 compared to a couple of C-2120/A-36?

Is it worth the jump?

(or worse, should I stay with Esoteric and get an F-0n amp? - which would be the end of an Accuphase journey that would even not make a start)

Using a separate audio system gives you greater possibilities, for example, if you're comparing an E-650 with a C2120 + a36, the sound is probably quite similar, thinking the only way to hear a difference is in a full acoustically treated room. but the difference is that with a separate system you can for example buy 2x A36 and then you will get significantly more control in the speakers with more watts. You can also buy an analogue crossover and actively drive your speakers which should be the best

Very simple: I bought a C-200L and a D-300L in 1985 and they are still working, after 33 years, with a few repairs and revisions, admittedly. The CD player is a Marantz CD-16, which I bought some time in the 90s.
I'm planning now to replace them by a E-650 and a DP-750.

Accuphase C-2150 now visible on Accuphase site: https://www.accuphase.com/model/c-2150.html

I have a C-2120, so I guess we'll see if I can keep upgradeitis under control or not

I have been on the Accuphase train for 5 years. Started with E-460 and DP550. Now dove in head first. C-3850 and A70. Wow, this was a huge Jump. I think the 3850 is gold standard in sound and manufacturing excellence. I met a Accuphase Product Mgr. two years ago at CES. He sold me on this combo. He was RIGHT.

Congratulations to that jump.
Now, try to get an Esoteric Grandioso SACD source, and you will have another jump like this, I guess.
